Hi, I had a bit of a shock about 8 months ago, my smear test showed I had abnormal cells and the hpv virus. I ended up having treatment for cin 2 and 3. I've just had a follow up smear, the cells now seem normal but I still have the hpv virus and got to go through the whole rigmarole of a colposcopy, biopsy etc again! I'm confused will this hpv virus be with me forever or does your body get rid of it eventually. I just can't keep going through this? Does anyone know?
