I'm taking Prednisone 8 x5mg tablets each morning, I have found blood splatters on my Of the bed from where I have been coughing, it's not much but is it worth contacting the GP, when I say it isn't much I really mean that less than quarter of a teaspoon of not less.

Yes of course!

Yes, coughing up blood needs to be checked by a medical professional. Are you able to take a sample with you?

SunnySkiesSleepsintheMorning · 10/07/2017 21:35

Yes, definitely. What are you on the prednisolone for?

The NHS website states that you must see a doctor straight away if you are coughing up blood. To be honest I'm surprised that you need to ask.

Do you have any shortness of breath/coughing
I've been thinking about you and think you need to get down to a and e straight away to have anything nasty like a blood clot in the lungs ruled out
