Hi

Just needing some advice from anyone from experience.

I went to the doctors due a lump down below I was given antibiotics. The antibiotics made the lump get really big and made it excruciating pain when walking, sitting even laid in bed. So I decided to go back to the doctors and was transferred to the hospital to have it drained. Anyway while I was waiting for the doctor it decided to pop on it own!! So it's been 10 days since it popped on its own but when I wiped yesterday I had bloody coming out of the hole it came out of so that's when I noticed there was a lump but no pain, I was wondering whether it was possible to get it so soon after, I don't know whether the lump hasn't gone down since it popped.

I'd go back to GP, you may need more antibiotics.

I have a skin condition that means I regularly get cysts/abscesses (it's as fun as it sounds) and you have to be relentless with the aftercare to ensure no follow up infection, especially in that area and even then they might not have drained fully so it's definitely worth a visit to the GP.

Hope you get it sorted OP, it's so uncomfortable! You have my sympathy.

I'm sure it's been fully drained because it popped when I was in the hospital they squeezed as much out as they could. I am going to ring my doctors today to try and get an appointment this week
