Hello !
Had a colonoscopy on Wednesday . Wasn't to painful all looked normal and had some biopsies taken .
Bowel movements have returned and gas seems to have gone but have been left with pain in the area I would think pancreas is but not sure.
So in middle of ribs to left side. It comea and goes . Not taking anything for it so far.
Did ring the unit were it was done. They were very quick to get me of phone. Said not typical pain of colonoscopy. See GP which I plan to do. No back ache just at front. Seems to be made worse by moving around. Lifting etc.
Of course google says perforating of bowel. But feel OK in myself no temp just niggling pain. Could it be bruising ?

Yes I could well after 20 mins in recovery . Try without if they put a cannula in they can always sedate you ! It was not as bad as I thought it would be. Just uncomfortable . Endoscopy definitely worse of the two !

Thanks-I may try without first!
So,How are you now? have most of your symptoms improved?
What do they suspect is wrong? at least one of your main concerns as been cancelled out now.
Quick Q if I may?-Did you need to remove nail polish/make up/jewellery?
I know it said to do so on the forms-and I remember doing all of that-plus taking my contact lenses out when I had my Endoscopy and thinking how pointless it all was!

@charliebear78 Hiya ! Yeah everything has improved . They don't seem to know what has caused it. If everything comes back OK from the CT and biopsies I suppose they will say it's IBS ?! .I have been given a date with consultant for results August 25 th !! I rang his secretary saying that is two months since my CT seems so long but she said if anything had been found and needed treating I would not be waiting that long . I guess that is good news .
How are your symptoms now ?
I had to remove jewellery but not make up

IBS usually gets the blame if nothing else is found.
I still get the odd stomach ache but it comes and goes which is something I am used too(I have had IBS for over 10yrs) However as my symptoms changed and the belly pain coupled with back ache would last for weeks at a time I started to worry!
Hope all will be ok for me too.
Thanks for replying to all my questions lol
