Is there anything I can do to help my 8 month old DS?

He has a heavy cold and can't have a breastfeed because he is so blocked up he can't breathe and drink

He is sipping at water so I'm not too worried about dehydtration.

Medised contains an anti-histamine which unblocks their noses a bit. Or you could try wetting a towel, putting some Karvol on it and hanging it over his radiator.

Medised will help to clear his nose but will make him a bit drowsy. A nice steamy bath or shower will help as well if only temporarily.

Hi Us,

a drop or two of olbas oil on his clothes or bedsheets (or yours even when he's feeding), or to do it properly, a couple of drops in some water over a burner or radiator. helps unblock his cute little nose.
And then just keep one of your little fingernails long so you can pick out the dried up bogies...

Ah motherhood...

Hope he's better soon
Annie

Thank you

Sorry for the delay I was on the phone to NHS Direct because DS also has a temp that I can't get below 38.7.

Nurse advised sticking with Calprofen and Calpol but have got Karvol so will use the radiator idea.

Hi Annie The things we do hey?
