Breast Clinic Questions.

Hi all, I am totally new to Mumsnet but hoping for some advice.

Im 26 and found a lump in my boob and some other symptoms so went to the GP, they fast tracked to the breast clinic and got an appointment for Friday. I think they only fast tracked me due to family history etc, so I'm not too concerned.

However, I was just wondering what to expect at the clinic? Do they do some tests? Do you know the results there and then? Also will I be okay going myself/driving myself I haven't told family or friends as don't want to worry them unnecessarily.

Sorry if these seem silly questions but I don't want to start googling stuff and scaring myself!

Thanks!

I've just been through this. At my appointment, I was examined and then sent for an ultrasound. I had to wait for about 1.5 hours and was then given the results of the ultrasound. They wanted to do a needle test on the lump, which they did there and then. I've then just been back today to get the results of that, and everything is fine.
