Painkillers, back pain, whiplash and work

I'm getting bored of myself now, so sorry !

Short version,

Large vehicle v rear of my car.
Whiplash, back pain.
Off work, ,3 weeks now, been taking painkillers the whole time.

Today I've gone no painkillers at all today, simply because I've been on them so long, and I do still hurt.

What do I do next? Just keep taking a ton of tablets or what?

Never been in this situation before.

Speak to your doctor

Hi hunny sorry to hear about the crash. I would suggest to keep taking painkillers until you heal and go and speak to your gp on what to do next. What kind of painkillers are you taking?

Kickedoutnowwhat · 01/07/2017 19:41

Hi,
I started on ibroprufen and paracetamol.
Doctor put me on,
Naproxen x4
Cocodamol X 8.

Dropped the cocodamol to paracetamol because I was falling asleep on the codamol.

I've seen three different GPs all have just said to take painkillers.

Have you tried taking only 1 of the cocodamol at a time along with a regular paracetamol? Might help with the pain better but not make you feel as drowsy x

Physio?
I had bad whiplash ages ago and remember a kind of machine the physio used. I also had traction!

Kickedoutnowwhat · 01/07/2017 23:54

Yeah insurance legal bods mentioned physio yesterday as it happens.

I've just had enough of popping a dozen pills, having to eat something 4x a day with the pills and putting on weight Sad

Plus I'm beginning to miss work Shock

Really do take up the option of physio. It took me a while to sort it out but it made a big difference.
Heat helped me. Tiger balm is great too.
