Just wondering how fast you see results with Pilates - have practiced every day for 7 days now...

I think you have to do it for several months before you get noticeable results (or os that just me) and then keep it up for ever (!)

it does take several months to see some effects and you do have to maintain it or else all the muscle tone goes... after just restarted pilates after a 18mth break..... ouch my stomach muscles!

I did pilates for several months (40min every second day) and saw results immediatly which lasted for a long time after I stoped.
I have a very bad posture caused by arch problems in my feet, trying to walk straight used to cause me a lot of pain, after a week with pilates it doesn't hurt anymore, I still need to remember to keep a good posture but I have no more pain. It's almost two years since I stoped. They are great.

PS. If you are not sure they are effective do the double of the exercise specified in a routine (just a part of it). I noticed that just 2 extra repetitions made my arms hurt as if I had been weightlifting all the night!!!
