I've noticed when drying my hair,at the front sides on top.Could be someting to do with my age ,44.
Is there anything I can do?
Dh thinks I'm imagining it ,but I'm not.

Three months after my son was born a lot of my hair fell out. This is normal. It does grow back. Have you had a baby recently!?!?

brimfull · 22/03/2007 12:58

4.5 yrs ago so it's probably not that.

It's not just after having a Baby that you cna experience hairloss...it's hormones in general that can have that effect...I know my mum started having trouble when starting the menopause (not suggesting you are menopausal, of course)...also, it can be a sign of lacking nutrients...but can't think which ones right now, sorry!
Worth asking your gp or just your hairdresser, to see what they can advice!

well I take a vitamin supplement and eat a very healthy diet, loads of veg.
Probably menopause..but am only 44(aaargh nearly 45!) and still have regular periods

I too lost a lot of hair, but after my second pregnancy. Only realised I'd lost so much when a little mini-fringe started growing back which made me look like the weirdo guitarist from Slade, Dave Hill. GGirl, if you're really worried about it speak with your GP or even a good hairdresser - my sister had a similar problem to you and was given something called Nioxin by her hairdresser which did wonders for her thinning hair.

maybe your gp could do a bloodtest, to see what is going on....in the end, we all know that just about everything can effect those bloody hormones, eh...

Definately see gp and have a blood test, it could be your thyroid.
