Hello

I've experienced some bright red blood loss from my bum this morning. Definitely no piles or fissures and there's no pain in that area.

I had a C-section 2 months ago. I have had a mild random stomach pain for 2 years which GP said was muscular. Not sure if connected to either of those.

Would I see a GP?

Thanks

You could see GP to be on the safe side, but as reassurance, bright red blood has generally come from the anus. Anything that's come from further up the gut would have started to turn brown. Could it be that you've strained a little whilst evacuating your guts but there's no pain for whatever reason?

Thankyou! It did come after a bowel movement but there wasn't any straining.

I think my main concern was that it was related to the csection but I think it would have revealed itself before now?

Most likely internal piles, especially just after pregnancy. Usually painful bright red bleeding after a bowel movement . However, worth checking with GP if reoccurring.

Sorry, painless bleeding!
