What's wrong with me?

I'm normally tired at the end of the working week, who isn't?

Currently I am exhausted! Yesterday I slept until 10am, I lay in bed until 12 and then slept until 2pm, even then it was a struggle to get up
I had another 10 hours sleep last night but could quite happily have a sleep now.

My appetite is through the roof, I've gained 7lbs in 6 weeks and can't keep up with my normal fitness routine

I also have hideous lower back pain that I don't normally have, I took so much codeine on Friday my DP had to put me to bed (and I have a good tolerance for drugs)

Any ideas?

Don't know whether to have a week off and try and rest, or just suck it up and get on with it

Is there any chance you could be pregnant?
If not I'd maybe be making an appointment with your GP for routine bloods

Thyroid problem possibly for tiredness and weight gain.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 25/06/2017 15:51

The back pain needs to be investigated. That could be a symptom of ectopic pregnancy, kidney infection, uti ..to name a few.
Codeine will make you very sleepy as will any opiate based painkillers you might be taking for the back pain.
Just go to the doctors! Hope you get to the bottom of it.

I think the weight gain is related to my obscene appetite

Get your thyroid checked. Lower back pain was horrendous for me before I was diagnosed with thyroid trouble. Also exhaustion and weight gain points to under-active thyroid (its probably the only serious illness that causes weight GAIN not loss!)

Ok thanks I'll get to the gp this week
