Has anyone had any experience of the hay fever injection?

My husband used to have it until the nhs stopped prescribing it. It completely zapped the hayfever, only thing that did. He's tried everything and is on the highest dose of fexofenadine plus some otc antihistamines and eye drops - and has to basically stay inside all summer. I think you can get it privately but we don't have that sort of money.
