NBG, I can't, but the pharmacist will know what you're on about. Boots do their own one.

We got ones called "Golden Eye" OTC.

Very james bond sounding!

Nbg · 21/03/2007 07:42

Yeah they will do.
Just wondering if saline solution will do the trick for now?

Brolene is one of the more common ones. Or my doc told me to ask for Chloramphenicol (although she did say that they have been advised not to prescribe anything for conjunctivitis, and that if you were asking for this one to say it's for an adult!! (we used it on my 9mo and he was fine, btw))

Nbg · 21/03/2007 07:47

Chloramphenicol is what she has been prescribed in the past.
Shes had loads of problems with her eyes.

Ok so Brolene and Golden eye

Fusithalmic acid is fine. DD had it when tiny but it has to be prescribed. I asked for over the ounter stuff for her the other day but was told they won't give anything under 2 yrs. I thought chloramphenicol had some nasty side effects ?

Nbg · 21/03/2007 07:58

Never heard of side effects before TT.
Have had fusithalmic too

Linz2 · 21/03/2007 11:02

Cool boiled water with a pinch of salt worked for my 4 month old son as advised by local nurse.

Nbg · 21/03/2007 11:05

Lol led

I swear I'm going to put a cross above our door like they used to do years ago to warn people we have the pox of some description.
Its bloody constant!
