Balloon Foot! How long until swelling goes?

I got bitten by something (god only knows what?) and my foot got badly infected, red and went to about 4 times it's usual size.

Went to Dr and he drew around the red bit and advised to go to a+e if it went outside the line and prescribed antibiotics?

Anyway been taking the pills for 5 days now, the red bit has gone but it is still quite swollen - when/should I go back?

Also I can only wear ugly shoes

Last time I had this it took 2 weeks (2 courses of antibiotics).

Depends how badly infected. A serious infection could take up to four weeks to return to normal. To get rid of most extreme swelling probably about 1 to 2 weeks.
