WTF has bitten me?

I've been bitten on my upper arm - it happened when I was outside in the garden and noticed the discomfort. It's like the size of a mozzie bite but there are two small red marks not one, it doesn't itch at all. It's now hard underneath and I've got a red patch around it about the diameter of a mandarin that is raised up about 10mm, it's not changing in size but WTF has bitten me?

I do t know what it might be but draw round it now with a marker, i had a bad bite a couple of years ago & if it starts to spread you may need to see a doctor

Yeah, I've done that - thanks. It's how I know it's not getting larger. I was going to google it but I don't want to see pictures of creepy crawlies.

I had a bad bite once that itched & swelled. I saw a small grey thing in my ankle & flicked it off. I think it was a horsefly. I ended up getting antibiotics as it got infected from scratching it so hard. Ice packs & calamine lotion or anti histamine lotion helped a bit.

If it looks like a target, you should go get a blood test as it could be Lymes disease.

Two punctures could be a spider, or just two bite sites. Mozzies can cause such a reaction, I've had ones that look like squash ball bruises.
Anthisan cream, after a good clean and antiseptic. Any fever or if it spreads see your doc.

I've also had bites that have gotten infected and needed antibiotics, if the red patch is very hot I would go to out of hours GP.

A couple of weeks ago I came home to discover two distinct patches of blood on my ankle.
My foot swelled up to ridiculous proportions and even with strong antibiotics took a week to be back to fitting a shoe on, and it's still sore.

I think the mosquitoes have mutated.

Sounds like a horse fly bite - or at least how I react to them..
