Have you been to the Dr? Or maybe a physio?
Ice after running and elevate - probably rest until you get some professional advice. Changing your trainers could help and sometimes inner soles that take the strain off your Achilles but I'd say get to the Dr or Physio first.
So annoying having an injury isn't it?

I had this just recently.

I changed my traIners, had a session with a physio who gave me exercises to do, and it's cleared up.

Hope you have some luck getting rid of it, it's a nuisance.

Have you looked at Kinesiology tape? There are tutorials on YouTube and you can buy the tape online. I find it really helps support my arthritic knee and I recently had achilles tendonitis and used this method along with ice and it cleared up within a week. Also defo look at your footwear.

This NHS leaflet has some good stretches to do plus make sure you're not wearing completely flat shoes - I ended up getting insoles to put inside my converse which make them much more comfortable

I had really bad Achilles tendinopathy.. I ended up going to see a podiatrist who said it was being caused by my high instep causing me to run on the outside of my foot. I got custom insoles made and it's helped loads. Agree re flat shoes.. I'm not able to wear flip flops as no support for my arches and it causes my Achilles to hurt.

Is this getting any better? I need hope. I've not run for 3 months and been doing stretches. It's both achilles for me, - I had an ultrasound and physio. I've got chronic tendinopathy on the right and active on the left with neovascularisation. It doesn't sound good. Its not much better yet, I hobble down the stairs in the morning still. I walk quite a lot at work so am hardly resting it. But running makes is worse I know.
