Can I take Anadin Extra + some Ibuprofen?

Have got a really nasty sore throat, think it's the worst I have ever had.

Anadin Extra is only really taking he edge off, and within 3 hours it's as bad again. Aside from that, don't feel too ill in my self.

But, the soreness is really getting to me. Can I add in some Ibuprofen too?

I'm afraid not, Anadin Extra contains aspirin & paracetamol - aspirin and ibuprofen can't be taken together.

Difflam spray is an effective numbing spray for the back of the throat - it doesn't taste that great but it really helped when I had tonsillitis and couldn't take anything else for the pain. You can get it over the counter at the pharmacy.

Hope you feel better soon!

Always amazed at people taking aspirin for pain, it's rubbish

Take paracetamol, definitely difflam which is amazing
Ibuprofen or naproxen
Large ice pops to soothe the back of your throat

No, as aspirin and ibuprofen both have the potential to irritate the stomach lining. With a sore throat, I find using dispersible aspirin and gargling with it before swallowing is good at relieving the irritation.
