she is 21mths old, apparently its common to develop mild asthma after a chest infection (which she had) antibiotics did no good, doc said to try the inhaler and its one of those cone shaped things you put the inhaler into, can anyone offer any tips on how to get dd to use it tho as I fear it will be a losing battle

has she got a favourite bear? give it to the bear, and to you (whilst making a pssst sound like its been pressed), then say 'dd's turn'. just keep trying it. if she isnt co-operating then you can do it whilst she is sleeping.

TLV I second misdee's suggestion . I was lucky dd was nearly 5 when she was prescribed an inhaler and she fully appreciated that it helped her breath more easily. Funny thing was that ds (2) then wanted to use it as well. So hopefully the favourite cuddly toy trick will work. Best of luck!
