BCG at nursery

My little boy is 12 months and never had his BCG due to the shortage when he was born. At his 1 year check up, the health visitor told me it wouldn't be necessary to give it to him now unless he is in contact with people from countries with TB. She said all the other vaccinations should cover him.

However, he may be starting nursery soon (kind of short notice for a variety of reasons). I am wondering if I should now push to get him the BCG as we live in Ealing (I'm told this is a high risk area).

He only just had his 12 months jabs so would have to wait a month or so anyway.

Any advice?
