I've had a copper IUD for nearly a year. I've had grumbling pain in my lower abdomen ever since. The pain is gradually getting worse in the right side and comes in waves. I think my body is trying to expel it
I was referred to gynaecology and I had a scan as recently as last month, which shows it is allegedly in the perfect position. I want it out now, as I've had enough. Can a practice nurse remove it, or do they need to be specifically trained? Family Planning clinics are only open for a few hours a week here, so I'm fretting that I'll be waiting forever to get it out.
