German Measles Rash... How long to come out proper?

99% sure DS has german measles rather than "non-specific viral rash" (if I take him to the docs thats what he'll say because apparently "we don't have german measles round here anymore" ).

Anyway... been googlin pics (as you do) and he only seems to have a little rash rather than the completely covered ones in the pics. Was just wondering how long it normally takes for the rash to come out completely (I know it oculd just be a mild form anyway).

there are loads of viruses that look exactly like german measles, hence the disinclination to diagnose it. Plus some kids get more of a rash than others don't they? Think it's over very quick anyway.

Thank you - it is all the various symptoms matching up (inc conjuncivitus), plus being in contact with it 3 weeks ago that is making me lean towards gm.

Been to the doctors...

German Measles.

I know how the rates have dropped though!!! "It looks a very much like german measles... but it could still be non-specific viral rash. So we won't notify the infectious disease people"
