7 month old DS coughing and constant crying

I just wanted some advice on what might be wrong with my DS. He's had a cold since sunday which started to clear up in the middle of the week but since then he's had a cough. Today the cough seemed a bit worse but he was his happy normal self this morning. This afternoon he has cried constantly - really big loud sobs - the only thing that would calm him down was being rocked to sleep. Its not like him at all, he normally only cries if he's hungry or tired.

He's eaten normally all day, maybe a bit more than normal. And he's napped fairly normally, possibly slept a little bit more than usual but not much. I've given him some Calpol and he's just gone straight to sleep as soon as I put him to bed.

Do you think he's just feeling a bit under the weather and crying to be comforted, or should I try and see a doctor over the weekend? He is teething so that might be part of it, but I've just never heard him cry this hard and for this long before so its worrying me.

My ds has been the same and he has recently got a couple of teeth through. Sounds quite normal. If youre worried call NHS Direct. They will get a nurse to call you back and then advise you from there.
Hes crying hard becuase he feels so poorly, so give him cooled boiled water as well as his milk.
