Cervical Polyp

I recently went to see my GP for a smear test (after being turned down for one once already as I'm not due one) as I had been bleeding after sex (often brought on a period) and ongoing period and back pain.

She didn't do a smear but did have a look. She found a cervical polyp. I have an appointment in June for it to be looked at at the hospital.

Has anyone else had one? If it needs removing, is it an easy surgery?

I had one removed almost 40 years ago. It was a very quick procedure even in those days. Bit of mild period-type pain the same day, nothing more. It never came back.

That's brilliant to hear! I am a single parent with a lot of children so have been worrying about it!

With any luck they'll hoik it out the same day - I do hope so.

THAT would be good!
