Can I just do a great big sad SIGH

Ds has had two months of perfect health now, which has been so lovely.

But now he's chesty and wheezy and coughy again

in spite of being on Atrovent inhaler, steroid inhaler, Singulair granules and continuous antibiotics...

I knew really that he could still get ill and if it's a virus not even the AB's will help but still I am a bit down about it.

OH poor your ds . It is so heartbreaking when you hear them coughing. Both of mine have coughs at the moment and most of the children where I teach. Must be a virus at the mo.

Has there been anymore idea of whats going on with the new consultant? I haven't 'seen' you for a while. Wish it was with better news though.

We're going to see the new consultant for the first time in a couple of weeks.

Both my dd's have that nasty cough. dd1 gets them all the time too. Seems one or both of them have been ill for months.
DD1 had an inhaler last year with a cough that wouldn't shift. Have been using it this week asa she's really coughing up a lung again.
Sorry your ds has it too. Must be sweeping the country.

Sorry to hear your little one is feeling a bit under the weather.
My ds hasn't had such a good time at the mo either ( it's chlochlo i fancied a name change) He was in hosp last night with a severe case of croup and hosp said they have had several children in yesturday with a virus that is doing the rounds especially affecting children with previously chest problems.

I know its such a dissapointment when they get ill after being well for so long but fingers crossed he will recover quickly.

Oh another new consultant? Hope it goes well.
