Urgent - Has anyone ever been poisoned by Advocate Spot on for dogs?

As you all probably know i bought a puppy the other week for my dd1, I used the flea spot on treatment from pets at home but when we went to get him vaccinated the vet recommended I used Advocate Spot on which cost £20! I bought it, washed the dog and put it on as described. But since I have been really really ill with pulpitations (excuse spelling) sickness, weekness & hard breathing.

I phoned the vets who called the manufacturer, they said alot of allergies occur with it but never my symptoms

My drs are a load of poo to be honest, The company who makes it faxed me the info sheet which says toxic if inhaled (which i did)

Has anyone ever experienced this?

When does it go

Have used it and no I haven't...

Tbh about that this is causing your symptoms. Perhaps you have a nasty virus?

is it an insecticide? they can cause probs for asthmatics etc.

Hi all

No don't have a virus, GP said it was poisoning, it is toxic, the Bayer Healthcare fax recommended using industrial overalls and a full face mask

It doesn't say this on the packaging/instructions!

I do have asthma too - I always get the raw end of the deal - the blooming dog is prancing about the room on springs - yet I'v got all the adverse effects

Good grief! - re the overalls and face mask

Perhaps I'll get dh to apply it in future (wicked cackle)
