Ds, 17wks, has a bad cough/cold and is very stuffed up. Neither of us got much sleep last night as he kept waking up. Eventually I took him into bed with us and propped him on his side beside me which seemed to help (either the position or being close to me).

He's not got a temp, just really stuffy so I don't think we need to see the doctor (pretty sure it's viral and caught from his grandpa last weekend) but just wanted to know of anything you've found to work for this sort of situation. Medised or is he still too young for that?

Karvol capsules are quite handy, also taking him into a steamy bathroom whenever possible. It's miserable when they have a cold at that age but it will soon pass. Also, I believe Tesco do a very effective snot sucker if his nose is really blocked. Sleeping on the side is good (if he's well propped it's fine). Also raising his head a little - you can put a folded towel under the mattress to tilt it a little.

Thanks. Will try the Karvo capsules & tilt the mattress tonight.
