I'm not sure if it's cradle cap either.
Anyone got any quick remedies or do I need to go to gp?

If it's really thick and scabby looking without being a scab then it's probably cradle cap. If you're not sure ask your HV.

Mind you CC isn't always thick, looks sort of scaly, but isn't hard. Not sure I'm being clear. Hard to describe. Sorry

It is exactly like that so I guess it is. Just googled and olive oil seems the way to treat it?

I used to use 50-50 mix olive oil and organic sunflower oil.As recommended by the lady who I learnt infant massage with.( a midwife)
It works a treat.
I piy it on sparingly everynight and the scales just cameoff when I washed my dd's hair.

olive oil on over night.

thanks
Thick question coming up - how do you put the oil on? With cotton wool?

could try emulsiderm bath oil in scalp, easy to wash hair with, as easy to wash out. 50:50 which is like a vaseline is good also.
Used olive oil at beginning but too much like an oil slick,a nd not as effective

either with cotton wool or just use your hands-makes good hand cream too!also good for ezcema and nappy rash!
