Thyroid help

I am 39 and ttc. I have an underactive thyroid and following a TSH of 2.75 (T4 of 17) a couple of months ago, my dose was increased from 75 mcg to 100 mcg.

My new test is showing TSH 0.19 (range of 0.4 to 5.50miu/L).
T3 is 3.7 (range of 3.10 to 6.80 pmoL)
T4 of 19.4 (range of 12.00 to 22.00 pmoL)

So now the GP is worried TSH is too low and has ordered another test in a month in case it drops further.

Strangely I am still showing some hypo symptoms including tiredness, coldness and dry skin near my eyes (I am on vit D, vit B and ferrous sulphate and was shown to be in range a couple of months ago).

I think this is still related to T3 issues but unsure (I had to insist on the T3 test after some brilliant advice on here by the way).

Your Free T3 needs to be in the upper quadrant. When I got optimal my free T3 was 6. You probably aren't converting T4 to T3 properly as your T4 is quite high and your T3 is too low. I take NDT which contains both T3 and T4 as I have conversion issues. Iron and adrenals also need to be optimal in order for thyroid to be optimal. Your tsh is not too low. My tsh is lower than that. You need to go by body temperature and symptoms to tell whether you are still hypo or not. I doubt your gp knows what optimal thyroid bloods are. Stop the thyroid madness is a great resource. I managed to get pregnant once I got my thyroid optimal. It took me a long time as my adrenals were tanked. Could you go see a doctor who has more expertise in dealing with thyroid conditions?

I agree was koh. I'm similar to you kai and need to take t3 as well as levothryoxine. Otherwise my FT3 is around 3.7 and i feel terrible!
Also check what your levels are on vit d, vit b12, folate and ferritin. If really low, you might need to increase the supplements rather than take an often inadequate maintenance dose.
