Keratitis -how long

I went to optician for contact lenses. She noticed that I have keratitis. First I tried moisturising drops for two weeks. They didn't help so tried OTC antibiotics without success. Got referred to eye clinic and got prescribed stronger antiobiotics. It turned out that I didn't have bacterial infection. So it might be viral and got steroids to use for three weeks for my eyes. How long this is going to continue? My sight it little bit blurry on my left eye.

Hi, I'm sorry I'm not going to be massively useful here, but it completely depends on the type of viral keratitis it is (there are many, many different types).
I'm quite concerned though that the eye clinic only THINK it may be viral, have they not done a scraping? If its not improving, then I'd go for a second opinion.
I'm also assuming that you're not wearing your contact lenses as that will make it worse.

They just assumed that because the swap they took from eye didn't grow anything. I haven't worn contact lenses since I went to see optician.

I had felt that my eyes weren't ok for months before I went to see optician but I got so accustomed to it that I didn't think there is something wrong.
