I'll keep it short and sweet...f**k me, whoever thinks trapped wind is just a prude holding in a good fart, trust me, it bloody hurts!!

Suffering the same tonight and have thrown up. The pain is truly grim. Hope you feel better soon.

Weatherforecaster · 07/05/2017 21:02

Sometimes it's mild for me but occasionally it's excruciating. On Friday I was doubled over.

Supermagicsmile · 07/05/2017 21:05

I've had it in my side before, lasted about 4 days. Was a bloody nightmare.

SleepWhatSleep1 · 07/05/2017 21:07

I had it so bad on Friday I nearly fainted. Sat down on the floor on my bum with an awful bump!
I think it's a bug though as I've not been right for a few days.

Yup, had my arse in the air for a long time

I have trapped wind following emergency open appendectomy.

The pain is excruciating and I can't move about to get it going.

wineoclockthanks · 08/05/2017 07:57

I had this after a recent op. Peppermint tea was recommended by my surgeon and got it moving pretty quickly

It's like in the middle under my breast bone (sternum?)

Are you sure it's not severe heartburn, I had that whilst pregnant, was truly awful! Zantac worked wonders for it.
