because she has a fever but refuses to take any medicine

the fever started on Sat night, all day Sunday and last night, she seemed much better today but is hot and miserable again tonight

I had to force calpol down her

how old is she? dd1 is also like this. drives me potty. i give her water to sip stright after taking calpol

she refuses calpol point blank

she used to take the 6+ one but is now refusing

I have tried: disprol in ribena - made her sick, medised - made her freak and she spat it out

I dont want to give nurofen as she hsant eaten anything

If it makes you feel less bad, I'm on MN recovering after hearing myself shout "For God's sake stop coughing!" at 8 year old DS2

If it helps at all, I gave my ds nurofen on an empty stomach many a time before the pharmacist mentioned eating first - no idea how I missed that one, but he didn't once seem to be in pain as a result.

Not the best idea, but if they're hot and it's the only thing you haven't tried... ?
