Flu like symptoms - sharp thing in cervix

Woke up this morning to flu like symptoms - temp and aching body. Took ibprofen and symptoms eased. Thought I was going to get mastitis again but I didnt have a sore boob so thought maybe viral.

Anyway ran out medication and temp is really high again. Got chills. Remembered I had copper coil fitted two weeks ago so decided to check it as I can feel some achiness down below. Checked and I cant feel the strings but I can feel something sharp almost.

Cervix is very low. Im ebf and 7 months postpartum.
Do you thibk the coil may have fallen out and if so would it cause these symptoms?

It sounds possible and flu like symptoms could be an infection. You need to get it checked out really.

Actually I just checked again and its the string I can feel. Two of them very sharp but they must be very short. I hadn't checked the strings until now so can't compare to what they were like when it was first inserted.

Would it be normal for them to be so short that only the tips hang out the cervix?

I have no idea, sorry, but I'm sure someone will be along who knows.
