Thick Cervix.. Should I be scared??

I dont know if you guys can help... I'm scared... I finally went to an OBGYN & asked about how I haven't had a period since I was around 19... I'm turning 35... I'm scared.. They did their tests & they left me with the answer so far of "you have a thick cervix" & gave me blood tests.. I have to come back in May!! Should I be scared I have cancer!?? Does anyone know anything??

You haven't had a period in 16 years?!

If they thought you had cancer they wouldn't wait until May to see you!

Are you in the US? ( we don't usually call gynaes OBSGYNs here.)
Why did you not see a dr for 16 years?
You could have had a very premature menopause.
Did they not ask you lots of questions? It's likely to be hormonal, not anything like cancer.

So, why haven't you adressed this sooner? Unless you are taking contraception that prevents periods why did you not think this was odd?
