Sore jaw joint after filling

Had a filling a week ago all feels fine except that when i open my jaw to eat it is bimmin sore (going to lose a lot of weight!)

I know its not, but i want to say it feels dislocated. It doesn't hurt when closed only when i open directly ( as for a yawn ) but not sideways movement (as in chewing) so much.

The needle really stung, my nose and eylid went numb - never had that before! But regained feeling pretty quickly. He also pushed quite forecefully to get the band on to do the filling.

Any thoughts? At what point to contact dentist?

Hmmm, sounds a bit like TMJ. Have a google and see if it fits?

Good job Easter eggs melt in the mouth Smile (hope you're up for a wee joke.)

Got any ibuprofen? Flowers

Thanks Julia!

Yes, Easter eggs are fine! Grin

Googled TMJ and sounds about right. Looks like a diet of yoghurt and ibuprofen for a while - oh and Easter eggs Grin

Happy Easter! x
