£3k to £5k easily. Depends on stairs and turns etc.

ReggaeShark · 02/04/2017 23:17

We had one. 2K. Cheaper than I thought it would be.

Gumtree is your friend if you have a remotely normal staircase! Lots of them sold off cheap when they are no longer needed

Why Stannah ? , you really need to shop around with stair lifts and stannah wont give you a price until they come round to give you the hard sell IME . We went through a stairlift company that does loads of different makes and they also do stannah ,but a lot cheaper than stannah ! ( think it was dolphin mobility) . For straight stairs you can easily get one for about 1.5-2k .

Also consider second hand, some companies do this.

Thanks everyone.. I'll get a few quotes.. There is a 90 degree turn at top of stairs which I'm sure will add to the cost.. Age UK do them so they are coming to do an assessment.Smile
