Umbilical hernia fixed. Now sore

I had umbilical hernia operation last year. They used a net. I recovered well and had no problems. But then suddenly couple of weeks ago it went sore. It feels sore on the edges of the net, I assume, like something is stinging my skin from inside. Anyone had similar?

I had same op nearly 11 yrs ago now. I get odd twinges still. Never constant for prolonged time. You could get it checked to see if it's shifted.

Yes I will go and see gp next week.
