breast lump in 18 month old - anyone else come across this?

after a bout of tummy upset, I noticed my 18 month old boys' left nipple
had a hard lump underneath. His Doctor is unsure as to what it
is but thinks could be hormone related. we are waiting to go to a
specialist but in the meantime I wondered if anyone else had come across
this.

has your dh always had this lump, bloss? If not, I'd say, get it checked out. I know it might sound a bit scary, but men can get breast cancer too, and because they don't think they can they never get stuff like this checked out. Of course, it's extremely unlikely, but better be on the safe side.

From what I gather, its perfectly normal for boys to be born with these
lumps and then to get them again before the onset of puberty (it
does sometimes feel like I am dealing with a stroppy 16 year old!)
not sure why they would get it in the meantime. will be seeing the specialist
soon - will keep you posted.
