Lump under 6 month old dd's nipple

Yesterday we noticed a 'lump' under one of dd'd nipples. We went to the children's hospital straightaway with her and they did not know what it was. They have asked us to take her back in ten days if its still there for an ultra sound scan? has anyone come across such a thing before?

Thank you Littlelapin, the hosp said it was very unlikely to be anything serious but you cant help but worry.

Anyone else got any experience of this - the lump is still there?

My dd2 (almost 9 months) has a lump under her nipple. The HV said it's probably nothing to worry about, and to mention it to a dr at a next visit (but not to make a visit especially). Still a bit worried, though!
