Hi,
I have an abscess on my bum cheek 
more towards the actual anus. I've had weeks and weeks of antibiotics and at my last appointment the doctor told me that if it wasn't clearing, I'd be referred for surgery.
I'm actually terrified of the whole thought of it so I was wondering if anyone on mumsnet has had their abscess removed and could tell me what it entails and what the recovery would be like?
