Can I stop my period now it's started?

I've googled and ibuprofen seems to be the answer, but has anyone tried this?
I have the chance of real actual sex for the first time in a long time on Saturday. It's been a slow burn relationship and we have decided that Saturday will be The Day.
However my bastard period has started this evening. Please tell me I can find a way to get it done by Saturday????

You can't stop your period once it has started, you can only take tablets before your period is due to delay your period. So don't waste your time, money or putting an impact on your health by taking ibuprofen for no reason. You should be lighter by Saturday. He and you either have to accept that's how it will be or wait until your period is over.

Plenty of men will fuck during a period. Is it that you don't want to?

Actually, I've done it, but it was accidental and it faded to spotting, then with no bleeding for two days, then spotting again leading to heavy bleeding.

I accidentally took the full dose of tranexamic acid, prescribed to me for heavy periods, with full doses of naproxen (an NSAID like ibrprofen) prescribed for another problem.

It wasn't worth it because it prolonged my period, and it wasn't reliably stopped.

You can take norethisterone once you're bleeding and it will stop everything within 48 hours. I'd weigh up whether it's worth it though - the flood afterwards isn't fun and it can make you a bit crazy. If you've started today will you be particularly heavy on Saturday? It might just be best to have the chat and put a towel down.

Norethisterone 5mg tablets are the best. They will stop a period before it starts or even once it has started. I Started taking taking 1 tablet every 3-4 hours on Wednesday, this started at 1.30pm and by 4pm my period had reduced to a few specs then by 6pm the next evening it had completely stoped. So I was period free for 2 days after I stopped taking the last tablet. If the reason for your period is so you can have some romance and the hubby doesn't mind a spec or two then give the tablet 3-5 hours and then to completely remove give it around a day ( 16 hours aprox) Enjoy. I would say it's still kind to the internal lady parts if you do it only now and again, like 1 or 3 times in a year. Unless the doctor has subscribed for other reasons I.e to reduce heavy period, stop period due to over bleeding etc.

Hi can you drink while taking norethisterone? Asking because I’m going on vacation and be on my period for 3 days. I was thinking about taking the the norethisterone pills 3 times a day to stop it while I’m on vacation for 5 days.

I’m going to Italy next month with school and my period always has to cause trouble and will probably land on the date we are going. I went to the doctors and got northisterone and it’s a seven day trip and apparently you have to start to take the pills three days before and the tablets are only a course of ten days. If I get some more tablets will they be able to stop my period for a bit longer? And say I’ve started my period without knowing (my period is irregular) can norethisterone stop a period that’s already started?
