Anyone had their submandibular gland removed?

Due to have mine removed, along with lymph nodes. Anyone had this procedure done?

Yes, my husband has. Fine now but has to permanently drink water, something to do with no saliva glands.

It was years ago though. For non hodg. lymphoma. 100% now. Just this one hangover.
