Levator ani syndrome

Anyone had this? Think it's what I have as I have been spasming for around 5 days now since a recurrence of some pretty awful piles.

What can I do? I'm going mad with the pain!

Are you sure it's not an anal fissure? That causes spasming.

If it's what you think, it's caused by pelvic floor dysfunction- you need to see you GP and perhaps be referred to a women's physio for exercises.

Thanks for the replies. I have had a fissure before so yes, it could be that. Could the spasms last this long? Found some diazepam tucked away and took some in desperation last night and I think it has eased a little bit.
