Anyone know if you can mix amoxicillin and sudafed?

Following on from this thread , I am still crying with pain at my sinus headache.

Anyone know if it's ok to take sudafed as well as the amoxicillin that my GP prescribed?

Yes you can. Get it down your neck! If you're not pg, take some ibuprofen for the pain too (don't think there's any in Sudafed). Its fine to take paracetamol and ibuprifen together. Just in case, Amoxycillin can't be taken in pregnancy or when BF. Get well soon

yes

Fine to take paracetamol and ibuprofen together, of course

Am bf bristols, but confirmed with gp that amoxicillin is ok with this.

Taking sudafed now - thank you .

Some Amoxycillin will go through breast milk to baby but only a tiny amount. Hope you're feeling better now...

Thanks for checking on me bristols. Was still really bad today, but went to Boots, and now using a mixture of amoxicillin, sudafed, 4head and a nasal spray! I did check the combo out with the pharmacist first. It all seems to be helping, so fingers crossed that tomorrow I can avoid the peak in pain that I seem to be getting around lunchtime.

Good for you. Hope the fog is lifting today. I was really poorly last week with tonsillitis and an ear infection so you have my full sympathies!
