Is this normal post miscarriage?

I miscarried nearly 3 weeks ago now - At just over 6 weeks.
I've bled since but all has been ok. Then I started getting cramps Sunday night which peaked Monday morning and continued on and off all day. Last night when I went to the toilet I passed a fairly big, firm piece of what I assume was some kind of tissue..... I feel fine, I have no obvious sign of infection.
Is it normal to pass this 3 weeks after?
I can't get in to my GP as a routine appt for 2 weeks so thought I would ask advice here .....

Im not sure but could it be "old blood" was it brown in colour or the start of a new period perhaps?

I had an early mc at 6 weeks and had a period-type bleed though it was brown rather than red.
I also had a missed mc at 12 weeks and bled for 3 weeks passing egg sized clots and other tissue with contraction-like pain. I had to have scans every week to make sure everything had come out.
Could you have been further along than 6 weeks? Can you go to an EPU and ask for an ultrasound?

When i had a m/c last year I had to have a d&c as it was missed I was about 6/7 weeks but I didn't know until about 9, the op was the week later so about 10. I know it's different to a natural mc but about a month afterwards when the bleeding ended I had a sudden 'flood' and when I went to the toilet there were a lot of massive clots. I just guessed it was remaining product that hadn't been passed already as I felt a lot better the next day.

Maybe give the epu/your GP a call to see if they would recommend being checked?

It's not an "abnormal" thing to happen, but might be worth getting scanned at your EPU since the longer any remaining product stays in your uterus, the risk of infection increases.
