Dissolvable stiches

Hello all,

I am getting a wound stitched up soon, and I've never undergone such a procedure before. Apparently they will use dissolvable stitches. Do these look any different from regular ones? If you have had dissolvable, how long do they take to go away, and how did you look after them?

Thank you very much in advance (I'm scared (!) )

I had some from a c-section, I just had to keep the area clean and dry properly after washing - I used some salt water on a cotton wool pad and gave them a wipe most days too.

They were really good, no problems with them.

The hospital will tell you what to do, try not to worry Smile
