Hi! Try not to worry. I had one of these, it caused some worrying symptoms.

However all was fine, they removed it & sent it away to be biopsied. Came back clear and (cross fingers) no further problems. Removal wasn't painful at all.

Likelihood is it will be the same for you.

Is it a cervical or uterine polyp?

Cervix polyp was yours

Yup, was a cervical polyp. Everything was fine, I hope it also turns out well for you.

I had one, no symptoms (found at smear), removed without any sort of hassle/pain by a gynae (like having a smear), all clear.

No, the smear came back fine, but the nurse referred me to the gynae to have it looked at.

Did you all do something about yours? I had one spotted at last smear (smear came back fine) but they said I didn't need to do anything unless I wanted to?

savagehk · 14/02/2017 16:19

Might depend on size and position? They recommended I remove mine so I did - perhaps it was where it might be irritated/damaged easily so removal recommended.

Buster they saying I dnt need mine removering but it might come away when I go bak to get a coil fitted

I had one during pregnancy. They did nothing and left it - prob it's come away on its own. They are usually nothing to worry about.

I had a cervical polyp and also had it removed as it was causing me to be a bit uncomfortable and it was absolutely fine. Tests all came back ok and smears normal. Hope you're feeling a bit better about this now! Flowers
