My son is in year 8. He came home yesterday with a form to fill in for boosters , tetnus, whooping cough etc. happy for him to have them.
However there's a chicken pox one. He never had the vaccine as a young child and had chicken pox when he was 4.5 years old. I have tried to phone the helpline but no one answered and have left a message.
My question is does he need the vaccine if he's had chicken pox?

Are you in the U.K.? I didn't think chicken pox was on the schedule here?

I'm in Australia. The boys were 5& 3 when we came over . They had all vaccine in UK . ( ds 2 had his school booster here).
If it is beneficial I'm happy for him to have it but I don't want him to have a vaccine if it's not needed
