For those of you who are kind enough to have us in your thoughts, some good news today.

We saw the consultant who now has the results of all dh's scans.

All of the tumours, the primary in the pancreas and the secondaries in the liver and bowel have significantly shrunk after 3 months of chemo. This is the reason that Dh is feeling so much better in himself.

He has now started the first of another 3 months of theatment......we have come home from the oncology unit because they had to make up his chemo again as he has put so much of the weight back on!

The outcome is still the same, but dh appears to by dying considerably more slownly than he was before Xmas

Thank you again for all your good thoughts! It means so much to both of us!

Well, this is good news MB.

I feel so proud of you and DH for coping so well with it all and being so positive.
Isn't MN strange, that you can take genuine pride and pleasure in news about some people you've never met and are never likely to?
xxx

MB thank you for telling us and here's hoping you get lots of extra time with your dh and so glad he is feeling better - hoping this makes your time more "quality" as it were...

really pleased for you all.

jalopy · 27/02/2007 14:37

Excellent news. Have you recovered from Disney Delirium?

Blu · 27/02/2007 14:37

MB - I am so pleased for you all.
This really makes me think how we so often undervalue and misuse our time - how precious time is...I am happy that you will have so much more.

Marina · 27/02/2007 14:38

Thanks for the update MB. So pleased you continue to confound the original prognosis

Blandmum · 27/02/2007 14:38

We did the trip to disney, it was fab. Dh is paying the price a little now, as he is utterly knackered, but it was so worth it!
