This might sound silly but bear with me , last night I ended up at A&E 111 sent me straight up there I had an awful headache for 24hours then facial paralysis all on the right side nurse reckoned migraines so went home rather than hanging around wasting doctors time , they gave me some strong painkillers it eventually shifted this morning and I'm full of energy! I've been absolutely knackered the last 2-3 weeks so I was wondering does anyone else suffer with migraines like this? I wondered if the tiredness and general run down feeling could maybe have been a build up to this ?

Lack of sleep makes my migraines unbearable. .i take Imigran nasal sprays and get work amazingly. . You can get them on prescription. . I have had migraines for over 30 years and these are the only things that have worked. .

You need to have a full check up. It certainly could be migraine, but they do need to rule out more malign causes. Please see your gp at the nearest opportunity and if it happens again before you've got an answer back to A and E.

I get migraine with aura and sensory disturbance, but for a first occurrence you really must get checked.

I have hemiplegic migraines occasionally as well as other types. They can be frightening. I was prescibed meds to prevent them, but they didn't help.
