Was going to name change as slightly embarrassing but can't be bothered.

I have posted before about recurring thrush, possible reaction to different products rather than bacterial. I have had a few months thrush free and had been doing well but yesterday things got very painful down bellow and now it's agony to do a no1 or a no2, I have never been like this before, it's more stinging rather than itching. I have tried several different creams including canastin ( internal and external ) which seems to have made it worse, I have tried Vaseline which helps a little and stops it stinging as much when I pee. It's agony when I wipe and feels similar to after I gave birth ( when I had stitches ). Of course of it's still bad on Monday I will be going to the doctors but is there anything I can use that I haven't already tried?

Do you think you might have an anal fissure? (A crack in the anal orifice.) I had one years ago and my symptoms were similar to yours.

I would get the most potent hemorrhoid cream you can find (one with a topical anesthetic and a steroid) and apply it liberally to the area, also applying some of it into the opening. Give it 20 minutes, and see if you can relieve yourself more easily.

Oh poor you that does sound sore.

Dab don't wipe for wees and pee while you pour warm water.

For poos use vaseline to line the way or water based lube. To wipe use either dry cloth disposable wipes and water or water wipes.

Bathe in salt water.

Dry well by patting and use breathable barrier cream like bepanthen (baby aisle in supermarkets or pharmacy). If you can get Lavera cream online that is great for excoriated nethers.

GP asap to check for infection. Also some std clinics are walk in and operate on the weekend.

Just a question, if it is herpes is it only contagious during a outbreak? Or if I'm a carrier could I pass it on at any time

I think it is contagious at any time but much more so during an outbreak. Hope you are feeling better soon OP.

Lavera Barrier Cream

No, only contagious during an outbreak.
Like cold sores.

No, only contagious during an outbreak.
Like cold sores

You can have asymptomatic viral shedding so you can still pass it on when you are not having an outbreak although it is much less likely. Not sure if that is the same for cold sores.

Sounds like you could do with urgent treatment. Can you go to a walk in clinic first thing in the morning?

Lovemusic33 · 04/02/2017 21:51

I have just has a salt bath and has a look down bellow, I can't see anything obvious, a small amount of discharge but no blisters. I had a poke around and it seems to be just inside my vagina towards my bottom. I haven't put any creams on since having a bath as I think they have probably been making it worse.
